1.other 指剩下的一部分,相当于some,例如Some people are playing on the playground,other people are playing chess underthe tree一些人在操场上玩,还有一部分人在树下下棋
2.others就等同于other people或者other things等等的,就是在other后面接名词
3.the other 指两个当中的另一个,例如There are two bags on the shelf,one is red,the other is blue.架子上有两只包,一只是红色的,另一只是蓝色的,the other通常和one连用,特指两个之间的另一个,如上例句.
4.the others 剩下的所有,注意区分的是,the others 指剩下的所有,而others 只指剩下的一部分,例如To this question,some select the first answer,and the others select the second one.对于这道题,有些人选择了第一个答案,其余人则选择了第二个答案.通常others比the others 用得更多一些.
